Introduction
In this article you will learn about how to edit an existing curriculum. Before we do this it is extremely important to understand a little about how the curriculum works.
Before Content (Question) Authoring begins, the Curriculum can be edited and manipulated as you require.
After Content (Question) Authoring begins, the following RULES must be strictly followed. If you are unclear it is your responsibility to consult your Adaptemy Project Lead.
#1 - If you delete a Concept or Topic where questions have already been authored, these questions will be lost. To retrieve lost content is a manual process which may incur downtime for your authoring team and will incur cost from Adaptemy development team.
#2 - You may rename a Topic or Concept at any time to correct a typo or improve the name while retaining its original meaning. However, you cannot rename a concept so as to radically change its meaning. Some examples:
OK - "Coordinate Geometry I" > "Coordinate Geometry 1"
OK - "Vocab for Going On Holidys" > "Vocab for Going On Holidays"
NOT OK - "Simple Addition" > "Multiplication"
Why? Questions are authored to populate into a specific Concept GUID.
In this example the author has renamed the Display Name. However, when users click this Concept in the product they will be presented with questions about "Simple Addition" and not "Multiplication" as they expect.
